LOOPING FOURHEAD
A multichannel sound installation consisting of dynamic, altering layers of audio played through four separate speakers. The piece comprises three chapters based on a unique musical scale, and aspires to merge organically with the surrounding structure and external environment by balancing lighting, spatial aspects, and background noise.
Created especially for JDW, Beno Hendler delivers a dynamic, shifting system – allowing for real-time control of parameters such as tempo and effects, as well as a reversal of the playback itself. The aural experience shifts constantly, while every change in sound is simultaneously translated into visual form by means of Maytal’s light fixtures, ultimately creating an immersive synchronicity that envelopes and corresponds with the exhibition space.
A special launch event will be held on Monday, July 13th, 2026, beginning at 8 pm, featuring a live performance as well as a guest appearance by Shye Ben-Tzur.
