A sculptural video installation by Daniella Meroz mutates the Mamuta space into a grotesque gymboree, where playfulness and ritual become excessive and distorted.
Utilizing video and the exhibition space itself, מרוז creates perimeters of toys and games. These, in turn, combine rules and structures from the realms of sports, politics, and carnivals. By means of inflation, exaggeration and disassembly, the artist probes violence and distorted balance of power inherent to these systems.
