Where is My Olympia?
"Where is My Olympia?” examines the encounter between the prestigious aura of competitive sports and ordinary people, exploring the space between ethos and mythology, and between design and consumer culture.
The installation raises the question of where each of us locates our own private “Olympia,” as a metaphor for small victories and personal struggles within the everyday Olympics of life. The sales stand invites visitors to purchase and gift themselves a personal prize, symbolizing success and the overcoming of obstacles or challenges they have set for themselves.
