From the Stadium Gates to My Heart – My First Stadium Experience
Jewelry and eyewear designer Miriam Shakirat and Samuel Heiber Goldstein, a Hapoel Jerusalem FC fan and player on the club’s LGBTQ+ team, met through the “Matchmaker” project to discuss fandom, memories, and the meaning of being part of a team. Together, they explored the connections between place, body, and emotion.
The objects they created translate experiences and feelings into a material language. Combining 3D printing, silver casting, and metallic coatings, the work deliberately avoids the direct use of the club’s symbols. Instead, it expresses both Jerusalem and the experience of fandom through layers of material, color, and texture. The palette incorporates blue, pink, and white—the colors of the transgender flag—as an expression of an open, complex, and multilayered identity.
