24 Per Second
“24 Per Second” is an installation of light, sound, time, motion, and memory that examines the moments preceding a decisive outcome—the time between heartbeats.
Suspended throughout the space are 99 spherical light fixtures, forming a three-dimensional freeze-frame of balls in motion. Much like the 24 frames that make up a single second of video, the work reveals how a sequence of small moments can come together to form a story, a memory, or an experience.
Drawing inspiration from the world of sports and the culture of achievement, the installation reflects on the tension between anticipation and realization, between motion and time, and between a fleeting moment and its collective significance.
