Crowds

“Crowds” is a video work that shifts the camera’s gaze from the football pitch to the crowd in the stands. The installation, composed of two synchronized video works, places supporters of Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv opposite one another throughout a single match. The documentation begins with the opening of the stadium gates, continues through the game, and concludes with the celebrations and disappointments of the fans at its end. The camera moves between wide shots that capture the entire stand and close-ups that reveal intimate moments within the collective experience.
