SORRY – Tennis Club
Fashion Store and Launch of Designer Danielle Weinberg’s Tennis Collection.
In tennis, when a ball clips the net and still lands in the opponent’s court (a “net cord”), it is customary to raise a hand or say “sorry.” It is not a violation of the rules, but rather an acknowledgment that the point was won through chance as much as through skill.
This moment—when control fractures for a split second—lies at the heart of the collection. Like the ball hovering above the net, the sky operates according to an invisible system of rules: stable in essence, yet constantly shifting. If the court defines clear boundaries, the sky unsettles them.
The tennis collection "The Sky Today" by SORRY, moves between order and disruption, control and randomness, offering a view of sport as a space in which these opposing forces coexist.
Here, the apologetic gesture embodied in “sorry” undergoes a transformation: SORRY NOT SORRY. A single line crosses out the word, calling into question the very need for it. A moment in which the code is preserved yet simultaneously broken. With "The Sky Today", SORRY breaks its own rules, presenting its first-ever colorful collection.
